Process, Sanitary Piping

HMI specializes in manufacturing sanitary process piping which is used in the food and beverage industries as well as the personal care and biopharmaceutical industries.  The fittings and tubings in sanitary process piping are cleanable either manually in or a CIP (clean in place) process.  Being corrosion resistant, the parts are also designed to limit entrapment areas where bacteria can form and contaminate products.

Utility Piping

HMI specializes in manufacturing utility piping which is generally used to pipe fresh or cooling water, steam or condensate in the process of creating the product unlike process piping which is used to pipe the actual product, i.e., milk, in the creation of the final end product, i.e., carton of milk.  Utility piping supports the process but is not integral to it.

Conveyor Systems

HMI specializes in manufacturing conveyor systems which are mechanical handling equipment that moves materials from one place to another. They allow quick and efficient transportation of products in the material handling and/or packaging industries.  Different industries use different types of conveying systems dependent on their needs. Some types of conveyors consist of enclosed tracks, hand pushed, I-Beam, towline, and power & free trolleys.

Millwright

  • Setup various production machines and ancillary equipment according to procedures and product specifications utilizing small hand tools, i.e. wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, drills and channel locks.
  • Monitor machinery and process goals during shift and make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimum performance of processes.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunction and either repair equipment or arrange for technical support to complete repairs.

HMI specializes in installing and setting up production machines and ancillary equipment according to product specifications utilizing hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, channel locks, wrenches, pliers, etc.  Machinery and process goals are monitored and adjusted to ensure optimum performance of processes.

Structural Steel

HMI specializes in manufacturing  structural steel in shapes required by the particular system and industry according to standard regulations.  These structural shapes include I-beams, Z-Shapes, HSS-Shape, Angle, Sturctural channel, a Tee, Rail profiles, etc.

Fabrication

HMI specializes in manufacturing metal machinery and structures by cutting, bending, and assembling processes.  These processes can be performed by manual or powered variants, i.e., a hand-held torch or anumerical control cutter using a laswer, mill bits, water jet, or torch.

Installation

HMI specializes in the installation of process systems to optimize overall facility design and operation.  HMI has proven experience ins field installation and startup of process systems.

Tanks

 

Provide process information to management so production equipment may be optimized and/or process corrected. Assist with training of personnel to perform various functions within each assigned area. Facilitate work flow and ensure product quality is maintained. Principal Accountabilities

  1. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance as assigned by supervisor according to the Preventive Maintenance schedule.
  2. Adhere to plant policies/procedures, department EHS rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), ISO 13485 regulations and Good Housekeeping procedures.
  3. Shall operate in a manner that protects the health and safety of its employees/visitors and operate in a manner that conserves energy, natural resources and protects the environment.
  4. Complete all pertinent paperwork pertaining to the finished product being produced according to established guidelines in the manufacturing procedures. Prepare and maintain required maintenance equipment records.
  5. Use of micrometers, dial calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to perform dimensional and physical inspections.
  6. Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards. Uses ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 sampling standard, part drawings, and specifications to determine inspection and testing required as well as acceptable quality levels.
  7. Selects products for inspection evaluation at specified stages in production process, performs various visual, dimensional, performance, mechanical, electrical, or chemical inspections per required characteristics.
  8. Report any unusual circumstances to supervisor and perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  9. Basic computer skills with windows based programs.
  10. Responsible for the observation of department regulations and to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required; must be safety conscious and Lockout/Tag-out trained.
